Roundtable: Discussion about Cannabidiol (CBD) and Novel Food goes into the next round

Brussels / Cologne – The debate on whether CBD-containing products are generally covered by the regulation for novel foods requiring approval is gathering momentum.

  • Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) confirms receipt of EIHA documents
  • EIHA calls for correction of BVL’s blanket assessment of CBD-containing products
  • Daniel Kruse, President of the EIHA, today live at the Hemp Magazine Roundtable

The media information of the EIHA of March 03, 2020 “EIHA versus BVL: Cannabidiol (CBD) not mandatory as Novel Food subject to approval” has reignited the public discussion around CBD.
